  1. Dear Staffan and Eva,

You have a very beautiful website. Really impressive.

I write you to inform you about the Hallberg-Rassy Connectie. An initiative to connect Hallberg-RAssy owners to exchange information, have joined sailing and winter events and a lot of fun. In a very short period or time ^ months we have 144 members. We would be very pleased if you would be a member of the Connectie as well. Please visit http://www.hallbergrassyconnectie.com.
We have full support of Magnus Rassy.

Please let me know if you have any questions. We would be very pleased with a Swedish member, besides the Dutch, German, Belgium, Swiss, Italian, Finnish and American members we got so far.

    Kind regards

    1. Thank you for your kind comments! The Hallberg-Rassy Connectie looks nice, but since most of the blog posts are in Dutch, it is unfortunately not of much interest for us at this point. To attract more international HR owners English would be more suitable.
      With kind regards

    Dear Eva & Staffan,

Thank you for your nice photos and website: it is a joy to see how harmonious you are and how you kindly share with us your experience.

I am writing because I’ve read that you previously owned a Långedrag 40, a steel boat designed by Rolf Modigh: I am now in the process of buying a sailboat in Italy, and it is from the yacht designer Rolf Modigh: I don’t know if it is your very same boat (the Italians say that it is from the Lande Grand shipyard, but I cannot find this shipyard and more I think that they confused with the word “Långedrag “! The boat is from 1978 and needs a lot of works; but I cannot identify any reference neither to the shipyard that produced it, neither to the original sail and boat plans that the Italian owners don’t have.

Maybe you could tell me where can I contact Rolf Modigh or do you know the shipyard that manufactured these boats, so that I could contact them? If you could give me any contact I’d sincerely appreciate your help.

One more question, if I can ask: and you can obviously answer me in private: what experience did you have with Rolf Designs? Any advice on this kind of sailboats? Which was your experience with it?

Thank You very much in advance,

    Best Regards

    Remo

    1. Hello Remo, thank you reaching out! Långedrag is a very nice boat. I think there is a mix up with names. Lande Grand is probably Långedrag, where Rolf Modigh lived. He designed the boats and ran the company with his wife Lena, who still lives in Långedrag. I found her contact details online. He then sold the drawings and people built the boats themselves. So as you understand, some are yardbuilt, and some homemade. What I think you can do first though is call Knape Marin, broker in Långedrag. They have a Långedrag 402 for sale https://www.knapemarin.se/Home/Detail/4694/Langedrag-402, they might be able to help you with some details about the boats or how to get more info. Sorry we cannot help you more. Let us know how it goes, what you find out, and if you buy the boat!
      Good luck and kind regards,
      Eva & Staffan

        Dear Eva and Staffan,

Thank you very much for such a prompt and useful answer! Your considerations about some that are yardman and some home build is a very useful insight.

I will surely contact Mr. Knape Marin (the broker) and will surely let you know about.

Warm and Nice Winds may accompany You.

        Kind Regards

        Remo
